Solve social conflicts (EN)

Solve Social Conflicts is a clever double-sided solution circle that presents you with 8 typical problematic social situations, such as “don’t know how to participate”, “I don’t understand”, “they make fun of me” and “I don’t agree”. The situations and solutions are visualized with clear pictograms followed by a description of the situation/solution in English.

Among the solutions you’ll find “talk it out”, “take a break”, “talk about your expectations”, “take a walk”.

The solution circle works by finding the pictogram that best fits the situation and moving the white box on the small side (problem side) on top of it so that it appears in the small circle. Then turn the solution circle over and see which solution is in the circle in the white box on the yellow side (solution side).

Despite the fact that social contexts can be more complicated than what a solution circle can provide answers to, Solve Social Conflicts is a great tool for children with autism and developmental disorders who need general rules and instructions to break down barriers with peers and avoid unnecessary conflicts, which often stem from misunderstandings and mismatched expectations.
